Aluminium sorter

After years of researching metal sensors and air ejectors, Majek Automation was able to build an Aluminium Separator that has no moving parts and costs far less than the average repair costs of the widely used Eddy Current.

The mixed stream is dropped onto the chute at a rate that ensures a minimum of overlap. The chute is designed to further enhance the separation of the material and the presentation to the sensors. Each sensor is independent of all the others and has its own air solenoid directly wired to it.

When anything metallic passes over the sensor the air jet fires, sending the can up to ten metres into the air, a truly positive sort.

Most steel will pass through the air jet with a minimum of deflection due to the higher density.

Due to the modular design the system can be made to any width.

MAJEK Automation has done extensive development with Australian Bale Press to build the ultimate layout for the chute and the baffles to separate the sorted and unsorted streams.
